Book a taxi to Madrid airport: online, by phone or on WhatsApp

To book a taxi to Madrid airport, all you have to do is type your neighbourhood or town into the booking tool on this page. You instantly see the fixed fare for your journey; then you choose the day, time and passengers, and confirm. Booking costs nothing, the service runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we take you to T1, T2, T3 or T4 at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, or pick you up there on your return.

If you would rather not fill in the form, you can book just as easily by phone on 911 76 00 81 or by ordering your taxi on WhatsApp. All three channels lead to the same service: official taxis licensed by Madrid City Council and the same price per area.

Having these details to hand lets you complete your booking in one go and avoids last-minute calls:

• Exact pickup address: street, number and, if needed, a landmark (building entrance, hotel, station exit).
• Date and time you want the taxi to come, not your flight time.
• Passengers and suitcases: if there are 5 or more of you or you have lots of luggage, a 7-seater taxi is the best choice.
• Flight number if we are picking you up at the airport.
• A contact phone number that you will have with you on the day of travel.

If you are going to the airport

Work out your pickup time so that you are at the terminal about 2 hours early for European flights and 3 for international ones. If you are setting off from a station, for example when you want to book a taxi at Atocha as you get off the train, tell us the exit or the spot where we should wait for you.

If you are coming back from the airport

Enter the arrival date and time and the flight number. With it we check the terminal and confirm the meeting point. We explain it in detail on the airport pickup page.

You can book as far ahead as you like, and also for today. Booking ahead has clear advantages for early-morning departures, long weekends and holiday periods, when more people need a taxi at the same time; if you want to know how much notice is reasonable, we sum it up in how far in advance to book your airport taxi.

When you are short of time, do not fill in the form: with less than 2 hours between booking and pickup it is better to call, so we can coordinate it there and then. You will find more tips for those situations in our guide to the urgent airport taxi.

Each area has a fixed fare: the amount you see in the booking tool is what you pay; it does not depend on traffic or the meter and is the same outbound as on the return. From inside the M-30, for example, the journey costs €33. You can check all the other neighbourhoods and towns in the table of fares by area.

• Online payment when booking: by card, through the secure Redsys gateway and with your bank's verification. You get into the taxi without having to pay anything.
• Payment to the driver: at the end of the journey, by card or in cash.

Booking is free either way: you only pay for the journey.

A booking is not final until the day of travel: if your flight is brought forward or delayed, or your plans change, tell us as far in advance as possible so we can rearrange the pickup. The refund conditions for online payments are in our refund policy.
