How the taxi from Alameda del Valle to Barajas works
Getting a taxi from Alameda del Valle to the airport is simple: you book the journey, give your address and flight time, and an official taxi licensed by Madrid City Council comes up the valley to collect you. The price, €134.80, is set in advance and applies to T1, T2, T3 and T4. There is no meter and no surprises from the traffic on the A-1 as you approach Madrid.
Alameda del Valle is a small village in the upper Lozoya valley, between Rascafría and Pinilla del Valle, right on the valley road. It is not a place where taxis wait at a rank, so the key is simple: book ahead. You can do it free of charge using the form on this page, on WhatsApp or by calling 911 76 00 81.
03
Summer houses, families and weekend breaks
Many of the people who book this journey have their summer house or the family home in the village here. It is common to spend a few weeks in the valley and fly from Barajas at the end of the stay, or the other way round: to land and want to get straight home, without going through Madrid or hauling suitcases onto public transport. There are also those who rent a rural cottage for a break and fly home afterwards.
In all these cases it helps to book the outward and return journeys at the same time, as two separate bookings. That way your arrival in the village and your departure for the airport are sorted from the start. If you are not sure about your airline's terminal, check which Barajas terminal you need before setting the time.
Three steps to get it sorted
-
1
Enter where from and where to
Alameda del Valle and your Barajas terminal, or the other way round if you are arriving by plane. The price appears straight away.
-
2
Tell us what matters
Street and number, passengers, suitcases, whether you need a child seat (with the child's age) and the flight time or number.
-
3
Confirm and choose how to pay
By card online through Redsys when you book, or to the driver by card or in cash at the end of the journey.
05
Arriving at Barajas and heading for the valley
If you are coming back from a trip or coming to spend a few days, book the journey from the airport with your flight number. With it we check which terminal you land at and confirm the meeting point; if your flight time changes, let us know by phone or WhatsApp. You can find more details on our Barajas airport pickup page.
For large families or groups of friends arriving together, a single vehicle with up to 7 seats is usually more practical than two taxis; you can book it as a large 7-seater taxi.
07
Neighbouring villages in the valley
If you are staying a little further up or down, check the page that applies to you: Rascafría and Pinilla del Valle lie on either side of Alameda, and Lozoya a little further down, by the reservoir. Each one has its own fixed fare.
One last tip for first-thing flights: get your booking made the day before, make sure the driver has a contact phone number and have your suitcases ready at the door. In the valley, in the early hours, five minutes to spare are worth a lot.
